Job Description:
Technical Development Manager of Applications to lead R&D Application projects, personnel and lab. Management of all Application functions with emphasis on evaluating new products in a variety of current and innovative applications. Applications area focuses primarily on Bakery, Meat and Confectionery. Areas of expansion will include Dairy and Beverage. Specific role includes providing technical leadership on projects, directing a team of 4 scientists, project leaders, technicians, supporting the sales and commercial teams, supporting customers (on-site as needed). Oversee the Product Development aspect of Inclusions products and business. Position will work closely with Business Leads, Sales, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance to accomplish company objectives. 
Familiarity with principals of applications development, including but not limited to Bakery, Meat, and Confectionery, Beverages, and Dairy Industry. Must be able to travel to customers with Sales rep to give technical presentations and expertise. Must be able to operate lab equipment. An understanding of the purpose of each piece of equipment and how it works is required. Having an understanding of Bakery Ingredient interaction and commercial processing is a great asset. Ability to design tests and accurately report results in a manner suitable for presentation to customers and management.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor of Science required, preferable in food science, engineering, food technology/processing or related physical science. Application Development experience in Bakery, Meat, Confectionery, Dairy and Beverages is necessary. Bakery industrial experience is desired. Five to Ten years related technical service/research and development experience/application development experience, including working directly with sales and customers.
Additional Requirements:
Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of bakery meat and confectionery ingredients, products, formulations, bakery processes, dairy ingredients, products, processing, beverage ingredients, products, processing, and current nutritional and health trends.
