Call for Nominations: Z50.2 Sanitary Design Standard Revision Sub-Committee
The American Society of Baking (ASB) is seeking nominations for subject matter experts to participate in the revision of the ANSI/ASB Z50.2 Standard for Bakery Equipment – Sanitation Requirements. This sub-committee will play a critical role in shaping the next version of this important industry standard, ensuring it reflects current best practices in hygienic equipment design, construction, and cleaning for the baking industry.
ASB is committed to an open, balanced, and consensus-based standards development process. We welcome nominations from individuals with relevant expertise across a range of stakeholder groups, including equipment manufacturers, bakery operations, sanitation and food safety professionals, consultants, and academia.
Selected participants will contribute by:
- Providing technical input and industry perspective
- Reviewing and commenting on draft revisions
- Supporting the development of a standard that meets the needs of the broader baking industry
The nomination deadline is August 1, 2026. Sub-committee work is expected to begin in September 2026.
