ASB Launches New Technology to Better Serve Membership

Today as we prepare to open registration for BakingTECH 2024, where we celebrate ASB’s 100th BakingTECH and organizational anniversary, we share other timely news with you about our work to enhance ASB’s overall value proposition.

Last week, we launched the first of many technological advancements in our quest to deliver a more modern member experience. The member portal improvements will allow you to track your purchases, engage one another in a member community for networking, and personalize your user experience based on your interests and preferences. Look for information in your email inbox from info@asbe.org, or contact us so we can help you gain access.

Workforce training and development is one of our five Areas of Focus in the 2023-2024 Business Plan. We are pleased to announce Sarah Day joins the ASB staff as Director of Education. Sarah is a training and accessibility leader with 10+ years of creating educational materials and training experiences utilizing adult learning principles and design theory. You can connect with Sarah at sday@asbe.org

And in case you haven’t heard, ASB recently received a generous donation from Dr. Lin Carson and the team at BAKERpedia of its 700+ encyclopedia-style pages of technical content. This compendium will be put to use as we develop educational resources, online courses, and future certifications and micro-credentials in our new online learning library launching later this year. Check out the story here.

There is much good news and exciting developments to share with you, but we’ve selected these highlights for now. Hopefully, you are receiving our newly re-designed newsletter and have made plans to join us for the upcoming Member Townhall on August 23 to hear more and share your feedback.

#ASBOnTheRise is part battle cry, part promise. But it is definitely all heart.
