Online and advance registration for BakingTECH 2023 are now closed.  We are no longer taking advance registrations. Individuals wishing to register for BakingTECH may register onsite at the Hilton Chicago (720 S. Michigan Ave.) during the following registration hours.

Registration Hours

Monday, February 27:  1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Tuesday, February 28:  7:00 am – 5:00 pm
Wednesday, March 1: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm
Thursday, March 2: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm

Who can attend & how much does it cost?
Commercial bakers (and their spouses!), equipment suppliers, and service providers can attend. There are different rates for each audience, so be sure to check the chart below. 

Should I register now?
YES! Registering early saves you money and helps expedite the check-in process so that you can avoid lines and crowds waiting in the registration area at BakingTECH. 

When do rates change?
If you register before January 13, 2023, you’ll save $200, and if you register between January 13 – February 17, you’ll save $100. If you register after February 17 or at BakingTECH, it’s full price.

Do I have to be a member of the American Society of Baking?
No. However, members do save a significant amount on the cost of registering. See the differences in the chart below. If you’d like to join ASB, apply for membership

What if I want to register several people from my company?
It’s easy. Just download the group registration form to get started.

Can I cancel my registration?
Yes. We offer worry-free registration that allows you to get a full refund if you submit your cancellation request in writing to info@asbe.org by 11:59 pm CT February 27, 2023. 

Do students get a discount?
Yes. Students who are enrolled in Bakery Science & Management, Food Science & Technology, Culinary Arts, or Engineering can receive complimentary registration as long as an academic advisor or department head can confirm their enrollment in the respective programs. All other students will be required to pay a registration fee of $150. To register, students can download the student registration form.

Can my spouse attend with me?
Yes. Spouses who do not work in the commercial baking industry can register for BakingTECH at the spouse rate of $250. This badge entitles spouses to attend all educational sessions, the Spouse Welcome Hospitality on Tuesday, Wednesday’s Hall of Fame lunch, the Opening Reception on Tuesday, and the spouse tour on Thursday.

REGISTRATION RATES

Full delegate registration includes admission to all educational sessions, networking luncheons on Wednesday and Thursday, MarketPlace, and the Opening Reception on Tuesday, February 28.

WORRY-FREE REGISTRATION

The Society is continuing our “Worry Free Registration” for all registrants for BakingTECH 2023.  You may cancel your registration for BakingTECH 2023 at any time, for any reason, right up to the day before the meeting.  We will provide you a full refund of your registration fee.  All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@asbe.org by 11:59 pm CT February 27, 2023.  Refunds will not be granted after February 27, 2023, nor will they be given for no-shows or Society membership fees.

Please note that this cancellation policy is subject to change, so book now to secure your worry-free registration.  The worry-free registration/cancellation policy does not cover hotel reservations.  Please be mindful of the Hilton Chicago’s cancellation dates and policies.

STUDENT REGISTRATION

Students who are enrolled in the following academic programs will receive complimentary registration:

  • Bakery Science & Management
  • Food Science & Technology
  • Culinary Arts
  • Engineering

Students seeking complimentary registration will be required to have an academic advisor or department head confirm their enrollment in the respective programs.

All other students will be required to pay a registration fee of $150.

SPOUSES

Spouses can register for BakingTECH at the spouse rate of $250.  This badge entitles spouses to attend all educational sessions, the Spouse Welcome Hospitality on Tuesday, Wednesday’s Hall of Fame lunch, Opening Reception on Tuesday and the spouse tour on Thursday.

Spouses registering at the spouse rate MUST NOT be employed with a company in the commercial baking industry.  Individuals employed with a company in the baking industry must register at the appropriate DELEGATE registration rate.  If registering spouse is found to be an employee of a company in the commercial baking industry, you will be required to register at the appropriate DELEGATE registration rate.
